Tainan area River pollution remediation promote and river conservation survey plan,2012

The project is the following action of “Strategy Planning and Implementation of River Rehabilitation and Water Quality Improvement in Southern Taiwan, 2011”, sponsored by Taiwan EPA,in order to analyze the four major rivers and tributaries in Tainan City, which are Ji-Shuei River, Yan-Shuei River, Er-Jen River and Ching-Chun River. Based on monthly water testing results, the project is to review the treatment effect and to formulate mediation plans by stages. In addition, related government units were invited to join the coordination conferences for many ti mes so that they can come up with effective strategies of river rehabilitation through united efforts. In 2012, the polluted length of Ji-Shuei River of severely-polluted, moderately polluted, lightly-polluted and non (slightly)-polluted are 13.5%, 57.2%, 6.0% and 23.2%, respectively. The basin-wide qualified DO rate is 82.3%. To reach the mediation aim of 2017, which qualified DO greater than 50% and the severely-polluted length less than 18.2%, the project intends to promote various engineering and implementing plans. It is expected to reduce BOD by 3,101 kg, and the budget is 2,018,220,000 NTD. In 2012, the polluted length of Yan-Shuei River of severely-polluted, moderately polluted, lightly-polluted and non (slightly)-polluted are 15.1%, 24.6%, 14.9 and 45.4%, respectively. The basin-wide qualified DO rate is 83.1%. To reach the mediation aim of 2017, which qualified DO greater than 60% and the severely-polluted length less than 16.0%, the project intends to promote various engineering and implementing plans. It is expected to reduce BOD by 13,333 kg, and the budget is 846,663,000 NTD. In 2012, the polluted length of Er-Jen River River of severely-polluted, moderately polluted, lightly-polluted and non (slightly)-polluted are 21.2%, 66.1%, 10.3 and 2.4%, respectively. The basin-wide qualified DO rate is 56.9 %. To reach the mediation aim of 2017, which qualified DO greater than 59.1%, Shi-an station severely-polluted is less than 4 month a year and the severely-polluted length less than 23.0%, the project intends to promote various engineering and implementing plans. It is expected to reduce BOD by 11,246 kg, and the budget is 10,097,813,000 NTD. In 2012, the polluted length of Jiang-Jyun River River of severely-polluted, moderately polluted, lightly-polluted and non (slightly)-polluted are 55.7%, 41.2%, 3.1 and 0.0%, respectively. The basin-wide qualified DO rate is 47.9 %. To reach the mediation aim of 2017, which qualified DO greater than 85% and the severely-polluted length less than 45.0%, the project intends to promote various engineering and implementing plans. It is expected to reduce BOD by 5,568 kg, and the budget is 1,909,232,000 NTD.
